Edward Norton StuebnerDecember 26, 1938
Edward Norton Stuebner, 78, of Amity Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Amity Place in Douglassville.
He was the widower of Marcia E. (Zuber) Stuebner, who died in 1986.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Harry W. and Margaret (Vankirk) Stuebner.
Edward graduated from the Governor Mifflin High School where he played football. He was a Medic in the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for W.E.C. International retiring in 2005 as a Mechanical Engineer and a Graphic Artist. Edward enjoyed early American History, hand-crafting American Indian Regalia from 14 different tribes. He was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church in Reading and New Life Presbyterian Church in Dresher, PA. Edward was a Boy Scout and Explorer Leader in Mohnton as well as a volunteer firefighter with Friendship Fire Company #2.
Surviving are brothers, William H., husband of Dee Stuebner of Wyomissing; and John B., husband of Shirley Stuebner of Mohnton. He also survived by his friend, Eloise Patton, of Fort Washington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Rev. Randy Grossman, officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. to greet the family.
Inurnment will follow the service at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
