Irene A. “Tootie” (Fake) Squibb, 84, of Shillington, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Berks Heim Home.

She was the wife of Edward M. Squibb, Jr., with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.  

Born in Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Annie (Reigle) Fake.

Mrs. Squibb was employed as a school bus driver for 30 years with the Governor Mifflin School District.  She also worked for many years as a Receptionist for Dr’s Gehman and Kleiman in Shillington; and for five years as a Clerk for the Borough of Shillington.  She volunteered for several years with the Greater Governor Mifflin League (Community Days).  Tootie loved the opportunity to play bingo.  She and her husband were members of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Shillington.

Surviving in addition to her husband are sons, Jeffrey L., husband of Jane Squibb of Reading; Bruce L, husband of Carol Squibb of Shillington. 

She was also survived by her grandchildren, LeAnne, wife of Donald Kellenberger, Erin Squibb, Amy, wife of Brent Whary and Allison Squibb; great grandchildren, Emma Kellenberger, Luke Kellenberger, and Carson Whary; and a sister, Mae Maxwell of Lebanon, PA.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Megan Huesgen, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Keystone Fire Company #1, 221 Catherine Street, Shillington, PA 19607, or to Immanuel U.C.C., 99 S. Waverly Street, Shillington, PA 19607.
