John A. Cole, 92, of Narvon, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017 at home.
He was the husband of Dolores B. (O’Connor) Cole for 68 years.
Born in Caerleon, Gwent, U.K., he was the son of the late Ronald J. and Rachael (Cook) Cole.
Mr. Cole was a veteran of the Welsh Guards serving in the British Army during W.W. II. He was a 35 year employee at the former Hall’s Motor Company in Reading until he retired. He went back to work for Camp Conrad Weiser in Wernersville for another 20 years. John was a master carpenter and furniture maker. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and hiking.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Ann (Cole), wife of William P. Seifrit of Narvon; and Lorraine M. (Cole), wife of Steven V. Auchter of Edmond, OK.
He was also survived by three grandchildren, David W. husband of Lisa A. Seifrit of Adamstown; Andrew S., husband of Christina A. Auchter of Edmond, OK; and Lauren M. (Auchter), wife of Benjamin R. Grubb of Edmond, OK; eight great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a sister, Patricia (Cole) Heck of Wernersville;
He was predeceased by a son, Lee Patrick Cole, a sister, Gyneth Gough, and a granddaughter, Amy C. (Seifrit), who was married to Russell L. Bryant of Cedar Top.
Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
