Justin A. Ruth, 45, of Cumru Twp., passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home.

Born in Reading, he was the son of Max A. Ruth of Wernersville and Joy C. (Miller) Ruth of Shillington.

Justin graduated from the Governor Mifflin High School in 1991.  He participated in swimming, track and cross county, but excelled in swimming.  He qualified for the State Championships in his junior and senior years where The 400 freestyle Team finished first in the state his senior year.  Justine attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore County where he received a partial swimming scholarship.  Later he worked in different fields until finding his niche in warehousing and forklift operating.  He enjoyed shooting pool and golfing. 

Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Janna L. Byrne of Shillington, nephews, Evan F. and Patrick A. Byrne; stepmother, Linda Ruth of Wernersville; maternal grandmother, Shirley M. Miller of Leesport; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is also survived by his best friend, his cat, Buddy.

He was predeceased by his aunt, Nan Ressler.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1 W. Wyomissing Avenue, Mohnton, with Pastor Scott A. Widmer, officiating. 

Friends may greet the family to offer condolences on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
