Larry A. KoenigJanuary 5, 1942
Larry R. Koenig, 76, of Cumru Twp. passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Mary A. “Aggie” (Holbrook) Koenig.
Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Arlene F. (Hoffert) Koenig.
Larry was the owner and operator of Koenig’s Garage in Mohnton where he could be found everyday for over 50 years. He was an avid W.W. II historian attending many reenactments. Larry was a lifetime member of the Friendship Fire Company #2 in Mohnton volunteering for over 50 years. He was also a lifetime member of the Gouglersville Fire Company and the Mohnton Fish. Larry enjoyed camping, fishing and going out to eat, but above all he cherished his time with his family and loved his grandchildren dearly.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Lori Beaton, companion of Dale Martin of East Earl, PA, Michael Koenig of Cumru Twp., Steven, wife of Michon Koenig of Shillington, and Scott, wife of Nicole Koenig of Shillington.
He was also survived by his grandchildren, Haylee, Caitlin, Brittany, Nathan, Cody, Dalton, Taylor and Lance, his sister, Suzanne, wife of Marlin Benner of Mohnton, and an aunt, Betty Schannauer of Gouglersville.
Funeral Service and Interment will be private.
