Leroy I. Hill, 85, of West Lawn, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Janet L. (Negri) Hill.

Born in Angelica, he was the son of the late Leroy R. and Beatrice (May) Hill.

Leroy was a 1950 graduate of the former Shillington High School.  He worked at the Berkshire Knitting Mills prior to retiring from Carpenter Technology in 1994, working as a Expediting Clerk.  He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf and bowling.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Jane L., wife of Ralph H. Strickler of Charlotte, N.C. and Janice L. Hill of West Lawn.  Also surviving is a granddaughter, Kari L., wife of Robert Addis, Jr. of Shillington, and great grandchildren, Andria L. and Valleri J. Addis.

He was predeceased by siblings, Irene Neidig, Esther MacDowell and Lee Hill.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Rachael B. Dietz, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Western Berks Ambulance Association, 2506 Belmont Avenue, West Lawn, PA 19609.
