Linda L. (Sweigart) Steffy

God welcomed another Angel into Heaven on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 when Linda L. (Sweigart) Steffy, 75, of Cumru Twp., passed away at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Richard H. Steffy with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of Leona B. (Matz) Sweigart Hracho of Mohnton, widow of Eugene H. Sweigart and Stephen P. Hracho.

Linda was a 1960 graduate of Gov. Mifflin High School.   She was a member of the former Hilltoppers and attended Glad Tidings Church where she previously volunteered in the infant nursery and performed secretarial work.  She loved animals, vacationing at Bethany Beach, going on cruises, and collecting anything hearts and hummingbirds.  Linda enjoyed the view from their back yard watching the bird feeder and the deer.  Linda will truly be missed by all who knew her especially her husband and family.

Additional survivors include her brother, Eugene E. “Sunny”, husband of Sheryl L. Sweigart of Brecknock Twp.; her godson, Seth Sweigart; and several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and her cat, Misty.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Monday April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

Linda requested no flowers at her service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43124, or to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
