Jena Lawrence Obituary

Jena L. Lawrence, affectionately known as Jena to her friends and family, passed away at the age of 41 on April 20, 2024, in her hometown of Reading, PA. Born on November 2, 1982, to Patricia and David Blimline, Jena was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. Her courageous battle with a cancer demonstrated her unwavering strength and resilience, qualities that defined her throughout her life.

Jena's life was marked by her deep love for her family. She leaves behind her cherished son, Nolan Lawrence, and her devoted husband, Joe Cavallo. Her presence will be deeply missed by her beloved parents, Patricia and David Blimline, who stood by her side with love and support in every chapter of her life.

A proud graduate of Wilson High School, Jena's intelligence and charisma led her to a successful career in banking. As the Vice President-Cash Management Product & Sales Manager at Tompkins Community Bank, she was respected by her colleagues for her leadership and innovation. Jena's professional achievements were a testament to her determination and passion for excellence.

Beyond her professional life, Jena was known for her vibrant personality and her many interests. She had an unwavering love for music and movies, which brought her much joy and entertainment. Ocean City was a special place for her, where she found peace and happiness by the sea. An avid pool player, Jena was known for her competitive spirit and sharp skills. Her love for swimming was matched only by her enthusiasm for yard work, where she found tranquility in nurturing the beauty of nature. 

Those who knew Jena will remember her as a loving mother, wife, daughter, and friend. Her sense of humor was infectious, and her laughter could light up any room. Jena was undeniably funny, often sharing jokes and stories that would leave everyone around her smiling. Her courage was an inspiration, a shining example of facing life's challenges with grace and determination.

Jena's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and courage. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be remembered as a woman who embraced life with open arms and who never shied away from a challenge. Jena's spirit, kindness, and joy will never be forgotten. The world has lost a remarkable soul in Jena L. Lawrence, but her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to her family, friends, and all who were touched by her extraordinary life. As we say goodbye to Jena, we celebrate the time we had with her and cherish the many ways she enriched our lives.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Jena's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the community for their outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Jena's light will continue to shine brightly, guiding us forward with the love and laughter she shared so generously.

Relatives and Friends are invited to greet the family to offer condolences on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with a Service being offered at 11:00 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.   Interment will be private.
