Arlene Hunter Obituary

Arlene N. (Blad) Hunter, 87, formerly of Shillington, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Reading Hospital. 

She is the widow of Edwin Hunter.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Nora Blad.

Arlene graduated from the Reading High School.  She was a longtime employee and retired from Western Electrical Corp.   She also worked for Palmer Candy of Reading.   She enjoyed bowling twice a week; loved to travel with the Reading Senior Citizens where she volunteered, helping with Meals on Wheels and Comfort Keepers.

Surviving are children:  Cathie M., wife of Kenneth Marello of Sinking Spring; Lisa A. Blessing of Reading; and Earnest W. Blessing of Pittsburgh.  Also surviving are four grandchildren, William,  Michael, and Kelsey Chlebowski; and Courtney Marello, wife of Shaun J. Bockert; and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, William A. Chlebowski on July 19, 2006, a granddaughter, Larissa Chlebowski; a sister, Ardel Conner and a brother, Arthur Blad.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Graveside Service on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Indiantown Gap Veterans Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
