Betty Moyer Obituary

Betty I. (Keffer) Moyer, 83, of Shillington, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at her residence.

She was the widow of Norman F. Moyer who passed away in 1962.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Marshall) Keffer.

Betty was a homemaker who enjoyed being a housewife, farming, cooking, baking, being with her family, friends and neighbors.

Surviving are children: Sarah M., wife of Ken Glase of Mohnton; Ruth, wife of Ben Bucks of Robesonia; Cindy, wife of Ed Magee of Shillington; Eugene, at home.

She is also survived by grandchildren Wendy, Karen, Dana, Eddie and Kelly; and great grandchildren, Kayla, Maya, Alyssa, Emily, Bryson, Kailynn, Justin, Cody and Katelin.

She was predeceased by her son, Norman in 1975; a granddaughter, Tracy; two great grandchildren, Danille and Autumn; three brothers, Luther, Robert and Paul; two sisters, Mary and Irene; and her companion, Ernest Schlegel in 1995.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Christ Union (Yocom’s) Cemetery in Grill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
