Bonnie Kay (Bowman) Svetz

Bonnie Kay (Bowman) Svetz, 67, of Mohnton, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at her home.

She was the wife of George D. Svetz.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Daron) Bowman.

Bonnie graduated from the Wyomissing Valley West High School in Kingston and from the Wilkes Barre Vocational Technical School as an L.P.N.  She worked at the Reading Hospital and later in private health care for a total of 36 years until retirement in January, 2017.  She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Mohnton.

Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Scott D. Svetz of Reading; and Carrie A. Svetz, wife of Jarad Diedrich of Sinking Spring.  She is also survived by a grandson, Parker J. Diedrich.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Calvary United Methodist Church, 1 W. Wyomissing Avenue, Mohnton, with Pastor Scott A. Widmer, officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Interment will be private at Mohnsville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church in Bonnie’s memory.
