Brenda “Billy” Oxenreider, 56, of Hamburg, passed away September 4, 2017, at the Reading Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born December 4, 1960, in Reading, she was the daughter of Irene Groff. Her grandparents Vera and Joseph Lempergel predecease her.
Brenda worked hard for many years as a remediation specialist where she helped people make their homes livable again. She loved to go fishing, tubing, and riding motorcycles and ATVs. She enjoyed all kinds of music, but wanted the world to know that Bad Company was “her band.” She had a wonderful sense of humor, and could make anyone laugh.
She is survived by her ex-husband, Michael Oxenreider, of Bernville, her son, Shane Oxenreider and his companion Tanya Reinhart, of Robesonia, her daughter Angela Russak and son-in-law Nathan Russak, of Hatfield, her step-daughter Jan Hartz with children Bridget, Michael, and Emily, of Hamburg, her two sisters Lisa Murdock of Charlotte, Vermont, and Candi Enouf, of Philadelphia, and her dear friend Leah Martz, of Reading. Her two canine companions, Scotty and Jackson, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews also survive her.
Brenda was a wonderful mother. She was loved by many, and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday October 1, 2017 at 1p.m. at the Gring’s Mill Recreation Area, 2083 Tulpehocken Rd. Reading, PA 19610.
