David Francis Foster was born, May 20, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Roland and Dorothy Foster. David passed away on July 26, 2017, in the Reading Hospital following an illness.
David was raised in Willow Grove, Pa along with his younger sister, Teri by his loving mother as they unfortunately lost his father when he was two years old. He loved his mother and sister very much and took very good care of them. After graduating from Bishop McDevitt in 1962, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country honorably in Vietnam. David was awarded the good conduct medal and rifle expert qualification badge of honor. As an excellent marksman he continued to enjoy hunting and shooting for most of his life.
David had a passion for dogs and enjoyed breeding and showing dogs. For years, he would enroll his award winning dogs into dog shows, where he won ribbons and awards. David also loved riding motorcycles and always fondly remembered riding his Harley Davidsons.
David was preceded in death by his mother and sister.
David is survived by his two sons, Christian and Benjamin Foster and four daughters, Maryanne and Bob Geedey, Davina Foster, Theresa and John Tompkins and Judith Foster and his twelve grandchildren Aubrie, Ethyn, Quinton, Bella, Jacob, Eliana, Grace, Gwynne, Samuel, Sissy, Asher, and Leira and also by his nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on August 8th, 2017 at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home in Mohnton, PA and followed by a private Military burial.
