Doris J. (Fisher) McMillan, 91, of Reading, passed away quietly on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Manor Care in Sinking Spring surrounded by her family.
She was the widower of Stewart H. McMillan who died on February 18, 2001.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Norman S. and Esther R. (Grabil) Fisher.
Doris graduated from the former Shillington High School class of 1945 and from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygienics. She last worked for Dr. Harold Fries in Shillington. She was Past President of the Reading Dental Hygienics Association. Doris is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Shillington.
Surviving are two sons, David S., husband of Kim McMillan of Pulaski, TN; and Thomas S., husband of Lorraine McMillan of Spring Twp.; five grandsons, D. Bradley, Eric, Gregory, Matthew, and Ryan; three great grandchildren, Hunter, Ashley, and otter; sister-in-law, Alice Fisher of Shillington, widow of Dr. Jack N. Fisher; and nieces Suzanne Fries and Natalie Fisher.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Thomas Reinsel, officiating.
Friends may call on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private at Pleasant View Cemetery.
