Kathleen V. (Richards) Wert

Kathleen V. “Pat” (Richards) Wert, 82, of Mohnton, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Highland Park Senior Living in Wilkes Barre, PA, where she moved to be closer to her son.

She was the beloved wife of Carl T. Wert who passed away on April 18, 2017.

Born in Mohnton, she was the daughter of the late Gerald and Carrie (Musser) Richards.

Pat was a 1954 graduate of the Governor Mifflin High School.  She was a homemaker most of her life after working at the Industrial Hosiery Mill from 1954 to 1956.  She was a member of Zion E.C. Church in Mohnton, the Mohnton League of Golden Agers, and a member of the former Hilltoppers in Gouglersville.

Surviving is a son, Timothy A. Wert of Ashley, PA and five grandchildren, Eric and Jason Wagner; Amy, David, and Matthew Wert; and a brother, Richard Richards.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Denice L. Wagner in 2011, and a brother Donald Richards in 2011. 

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Robert W. Shuey, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.
