Margaret L (Swoyer) Gass, 93, passed away on August 10, with some family present, at Manor Care in Sinking Spring where she had resided since February 2018. Before that, she resided at Sencit Townhouse apartments in Shillington.
She is survived by her children Catherine (Charles) Fritz of Reading, Lois (Norman) Kohl of Reading, Melvin E Ebling, Jr. of Reading, Scott (Pat) Ebling of Reading, Janine Gerber of Reading, and Cindy (Jerry) Rathgeber of Bensalem.
She had 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Margaret is also survived by a brother Robert Swoyer of Reading.
Margaret is predeceased by her brother George Swoyer, and her son Gregory Ebling and grandson Gregory Ebling, Jr.
Margaret was fondly known as Dollie, and she was employed over the years at Luden’s candy factory and the Reading School District where she worked as a library aid and a school secretary.
Some of her enjoyment in life came from leading exercise classes at Sencit Townhouses, line dancing, knitting, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, and socializing, as well as spending time with family.
A Viewing will be held at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, 21 Chestnut St, Mohnton on Wednesday, August 15 at 10:00am, followed by a Funeral service at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery, Mohnton.
