Paul Bernard Eberhardinger, 97, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center, Reading PA, having resided there for the past 6 years.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Alice L. Eberhardinger, Cumru Township, and his two daughters, Sherry L. R. Seher, married to Ronald H. Seher , of Marion Township, and Charmaine Pinkasavage, wife of Michael Pinkasavage, Sinking Spring.
There are 5 grandchildren. Timothy Rowe, and his wife , Janice, Jonathan Rowe, and his wife, Kristen, both of North Carolina, Jason Coyle , and his wife, Meredith , of Alleghenyville, Felix Jurado, of Sinking Spring, and his wife, Missy, and Alicia Jurado, of Reading. There are 20 great grandchildren.
Paul and Alice celebrated 75 years of marriage this past Christmas Day, as they were married December 25, 1942.
During his lifetime, Paul had a strong interest and was a participant in various Track and Field sporting events, acquiring over 700 medals and trophies, many in power lifting. He continued to compete well into his 80’s.
A 1937 graduate of Reading High School, Paul also served in the Korean War as a Tech Sergeant in the Air National Guard, stationed at Dover, Delaware in the early 1950’s. He retired as a lineman from the former Bell Telephone Company when he was 62.
PopPop, or Uncle Paul, as he was known, shall always be missed for his jovial personality and sense of humor, as well as his athletic interests!
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Jean Custer DeLong, officiating.
A Viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.
