Richard F. “Skip” Werner, 78, of Cumru Twp., passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Janet M. (Fox) Werner.
Born in Cumru Twp., he was the son of the late Woodrow W. “Boshty” and Winifred E. “Winnie” Werner.
Skip was employed at and retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. He was a member of the Adamstown Rod & Gun Club, and the Four Seasons Hunting Camp in Clinton County. He was an avid Eagle Fan. He loved wintering in Florida, fishing in Florida, Canada, Alaska and Mexico, and traveling around the world.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children Jill L., wife of Gerald L. Hamburger of Hollywood, Florida and Jed A., husband of Susan M. Werner of Cumru Twp. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jennifer Hamburger, Jared Werner, Anna Werner and Owen Werner; one great granddaughter, Alyssa Ortega; and a brother, Lynn, husband of Donna Werner of Brecknock Twp., Lancaster County.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
