Alice Eberhardinger Obituary

UP-DATE:  Due to Inclement weather predicted for Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, the family has elected to cancel the funeral service.  There will be no services at all on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025.  A memorial service will be planned in the spring/summer of 2025.    

 

Alice V. Lutz Eberhardinger, 100, joined the Church Triumphant at 12:20AM, January 4 th., at the Cornwall Manor Health Center, Cornwall, PA, where she had resided for the past 3 1/2 years.

  She is survived by her daughter, Sherry L.R. Seher, spouse of Ronald H. Seher, Lebanon, PA.  Surviving also are 5 grandchildren, Timothy  Rowe, of Concord, N.C., Jonathan Rowe, of Raleigh, N.C., Jason Coyle, of Alleghenyville, Felix Jurado, of West Lawn, and Alicia Jurado, of Exeter .  There are also 24 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews remaining.

 Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Paul B. Eberhardinger, as well as by her daughter, Charmaine T. Pinkasavage, spouse of Michael Pinkasavage, Sinking Spring.  Also preceding her were 7 siblings, brothers Harold, Bertram, and Jacob Lutz, and sisters, Ruth Bennetch, Verna Moyer, Joyce Organtini, and Nancy Dixon.

   Alice was born to parents Belton and Sallie (Albright) Lutz on January 19, 1924, in Shillington, PA, almost completing her 101st year of life!  She spent most of her life residing in Cedar Top, Berks County.

  She was very physically active as long as she could be, loving to walk.  At age 67 she won a Senior Olympics race walking competition.  Alice was kind and generous, having a strong love for her family as well as every animal that she ever encountered.

  Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508, or to the Cornwall Manor Benevolent Fund, 1 Boyd Street, Cornwall, PA 17016.
