April Gelsinger Obituary

April A. (Kuzniar) Gelsinger, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and cherished friend, passed away on December 6, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 20, 1984, in Reading, PA, April's vivacious spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She departed from this world in Scranton, PA, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unforgettable memories.

April spent her childhood in Mohnton, where the foundation of her character was shaped by the loving guidance of her parents, Robert and Lori Hassler. She attended Governor Mifflin High School, where her passion for knowledge and her bright personality made her well-loved among her peers. The seeds of her interests were sown during these formative years, which blossomed into the pursuits she would cherish throughout her life.

She was a creative soul with a particular passion for the culinary arts. April's love for cooking was not just a hobby but a way of connecting with others. Her cooking show on YouTube was a testament to her talent and her desire to share her joy for food with the world. Through her recipes and warm on-screen presence, she welcomed viewers into her kitchen and her heart, creating a community of food lovers who admired her skill and infectious enthusiasm.

April's love for the earth was evident in her dedication to gardening. She found peace and contentment in the simple act of nurturing plants and watching them grow. Her garden was a place of serenity, a reflection of her nurturing nature, and a source of pride and joy. It was in this verdant sanctuary that April found solace during her bravest moments.

Family was the cornerstone of April's world. She was a devoted mother to her seven children: Damien, Rebecca, Caleb, Breil, Malachi, Ameer, and Nasser. Each of them a shining light in her life, they will carry forward her strength and love. April's siblings, Carl and Jennifer, will remember her as the spirited sister who always led with her heart. Her grandfather, Rodney Price, will cherish the memories of April's laughter and the warmth that she brought into every room. April now joins her late grandmother, Ruth Price, leaving a void in the hearts of those who loved her.

April's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of kindness, determination, and joy. She faced her illness with remarkable grace, never allowing it to dim the light of her spirit. Her resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to us all.
