Betty J. Stoudt

Betty J. Stoudt, 95, of Mohnton, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at her home.  She was the widow of Paul A. Stoudt who died on December 1, 2011.

Born in Oley, she was the daughter of the late John W. and S. LaVerne (Westley) Sittler.

Betty was a 1945 graduate of the former Oley High School.  She worked at the former Penn Maid Hosiery and Talbott Knitting for 16 years as a Payroll Clerk.  Later she was employed as a sales clerk at Whitner’s Department Store for 16 years, retiring in 1980.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Spangsville.

Surviving is a sister, Shirley J. Morrow of Womelsdorf; Nieces, Janice L. Morrow of Wyomissing; Donna K. Persons, wife of Mark D., of Lansdale; Doreen A. Resnick of Adamstown; great nephews, Steven M. Persons, husband of Teddy Truong of Souderton; and Tyler J. Resnick, husband of Epiphany of Texas; great niece, Abby J. Resnick of Philadelphia.

She was predeceased by a brother, George A. Sittler and a niece Margaret “Peggy” J. Morrow.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Oley Union Cemetery, Spangsville.
