Bonnie L. Murray

Bonnie L. Murray, 70, of Kenhorst, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Mifflin Center in Shillington.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Betty V. (Auchenbach) Murray.

Bonnie was a 1972 graduate of the Oley Valley High School.  After graduation, Bonnie worked at CNA Insurance in Reading where she enjoyed many good times with her coworkers.  She retired in 2017 after working there 45 years.

Bonnie was always very kind and helpful.  She loved her family.  Throughout the years, she helped care for her grandparents, her mother, and her brother Michael.  She was also the caregiver to her sister JoAnn.  Bonnie enjoyed family gatherings as well as spending time with friends.  She enjoyed trips to the beach and many adventures traveling with Mary and Rainey.   Bonnie also enjoyed her Friday night poker games.  Bonnie will always be remembered for her chocolate peanut butter eggs at Easter and for her sand tarts at Christmas.

Over the last few years, Bonnie was especially thankful to Sheila for taking her to her many appointments and appreciative to everyone else who helped her along the way.   

Surviving are her siblings:  Charles H. Murray of Reading, widower of Barbara J. Murray; Kent W., husband of Valerie M. Murray, Shillington and Michael S. Murray of Reading.  She is also survived by her nephew, Steven, husband of Kate Murray, Shillington and her niece, Kimberly Murray, West Reading, her great niece, Carla Murray and great nephew, Joseph Murray.

She was predeceased by her sister, JoAnn Murray, in 2023.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

Friends may visit to offer condolences to the family on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.

Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery.
