Carol Heilman Obituary

Carole Ann (Fake) Heilman, of Reading passed away on Friday July 5, 2024.  She was the wife of Richard D. Heilman for 57 years, who proceeded her in death.

Carole is survived by two sons, David Lee Heilman (wife Janet C.) and Scott Heilman. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Carole was proceeded in death by her son James Dean Heilman and her grandson James Dean Heilman Jr. (JD).

Carole’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her. She would do anything for them! Carole also loved yard selling and reselling at the flea markets. Many Sunday mornings were spent at the Sinking Spring Flea Market selling used children’s items she had found at yard sales.  Carole also loved her Eagles and Phillies. She would watch as many games as possible and provide tips to all the players through the TV.  Carole also loved going to the beach with “the girls” spending a week in Wildwood and a day trip to Atlantic City to cash in at the Casinos.  But perhaps Carole’s greatest pastime was playing Bingo. She would be able to keep nine cards going at one time. Her extended supply of bingo dabbers would include every possible color and would be carefully kept in her Bingo Bag.

A private funeral will be held. The family wishes to thank Jackie, her roommate at the Mifflin Center and Shirley a health care worker for their love and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you take your loved ones to your favorite activity and make a special memory in honor of Carole.
