Carolyn Ann Miles, a beacon of strength and a true embodiment of love, left us for her heavenly abode on May 19, 2025, in her native town of Reading, PA. Born July 22, 1941 Carolyn's journey through life was marked by selfless love and daring adventures, illustrating the limitless potential within each of us to lead a fulfilling life.
A proud graduate of Reading High School in 1959, Carolyn's quest for knowledge led her to pursue financial classes at Penn State, shaping her career in the banking industry. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone brilliantly when she, alongside her late mother Jane (Bitler) Goodhart, established the UGI gas company's Credit Union, setting a concrete example of women's empowerment.
Carolyn's zest for life was infectious; her garden bloomed as vibrantly as her personality, and her love for dee-sea fishing mirrored the depths of her caring heart. A true adventurer, she effortlessly skydives on her 70th birthday, proving that age is but a number. Life for Carolyn was not about years but experiences, often shared on bus trips with loved ones to Atlantic City Casinos, a testament to her adventurous spirit.
Known for being loving and selfless, Carolyn cherishes her family, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering support in her son Mark E. Rightmyer, her pride reflected in the eyes of her grandson Cory S. Rightmyer. Though she bade farewell to her sons Eric D. and Steven P. Rightmyer, her journey was a reminder that "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Let Carolyn Ann Miles' life be an inspiration to us all: to live with courage, to love without measure, and to make each moment count.
