Christopher Curran Obituary

Christopher W. Curran, known affectionately as Chris to his friends and family, passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 57 in Lancaster General Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer and heart complications. Born on October 14, 1966, at Chester County Hospital, Chris was a beacon of love and strength to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chris grew up with the rolling hills of Morgantown, PA, as his playground and attended Twin Valley High School, where he forged lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community. His work as a tractor-trailer owner-operator was not just a job but a testament to his dedication and work ethic. Chris was deeply involved in his industry, always willing to lend a hand or share his extensive knowledge with others.

Family was the cornerstone of Chris's life. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Cristina Patua Curran, and a loving father to his daughters, Chrizha and Margie. Survived by His mother, Shirley Curran, along with his brothers, Robert, and Michael Curran, and pre-deceased by his sister, Margaret (Curran) Dillon and Father Robert Curran. His friends and family will forever hold dear their memories of fun-filled gatherings and the wisdom he imparted.

A man of faith and immense generosity, Chris lived his life as a testament to the values he held dear. He was the embodiment of selflessness, always putting others before himself and facing every challenge with unwavering courage and optimism. His interests were simple yet profound, as he found his greatest joy in spending quality time with his wife, children, and extended family. Whether it was at home, camping, or on day trips, Chris's presence was a source of comfort and happiness.  Friends and family will remember Chris for his loving nature and his faith-filled spirit. He had a way of making each person he met feel valued and loved. His legacy is one of kindness, compassion, and the selfless love he shared with everyone he encountered.

As we reflect on Chris's life, we are reminded of the words of Helen Keller: "What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Chris's love and the memories he created with us will forever be etched in our hearts and continue to guide us.  While we mourn the loss of such a remarkable soul, we also celebrate the profound impact Chris made on the world. His life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. We take solace in knowing that his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the love he spread. In honoring Chris's life, we remember not just the end of his earthly journey but the incredible love and light he brought into this world. He will be dearly missed and eternally cherished by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

As we say goodbye to Christopher W. Curran, we do so with heavy hearts, but also with a sense of gratitude for the time we were granted with such an extraordinary man. May he rest in peace, and may his spirit soar freely, unburdened by the trials of this world and embraced by the love of his Savior Jesus Christ.

Everyone is welcome to Chris's celebration of life service at Calvary Chapel of Honeybrook, 80 Village Square, Honeybrook, PA 19344 on Saturday, December 16, 1:30 - 4:00 pm.
