Daniel A. Boone

Daniel A. Boone, 83, of Cumru Twp., passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the widower of Shirley A. (Mohn) Boone who died on December 17, 2004.

Born in Cumru Twp., he was the son of the late Luke and Esther (Ganster) Boone.

Daniel was employed as a mechanic working at the former Stanbaugh & Son Farming Equipment in Shillington; International Harvester and Manor Equipment in Ephrata; and retired from Carpenter Technology in Reading.  He loved working the family farm in Cumru Twp.  He was a member of Wyomissing United Church of Christ in Gouglersville.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheree L., widow of Larry Blanski of Kenhorst; and Shelee J., wife of William Rothwell of Sinking Spring.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Danielle L. Rothwell of Sinking Spring and Donavan “Jake” Blanski of Kenhorst.

He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Sausen in 2004.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment at Mohnsville Cemetery will follow the service.
