David Marburger Obituary

David E. Marburger, formerly of Denver, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 11, 2021 at his residence in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He was the son of the late John R. and Erma Marburger.

He was the widower of Doris W. (Blatt) Marburger who died on November 26, 2001.

He is survived by his children: Diane L. Marburger of Daytona Beach, FL, Ricky L. Marburger of Gouglersville, PA, David A. Marburger of Mohnton, PA and Jeffrey L. Marburger of Reading, PA; grandchildren: Laura Freymoyer, Jon and Heather Hermort, Ryan Marburger, Trisha Stine, Alciia, and Tammy; several great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Maureen Francis and a brother, Ronald Marburger.

He is predeceased by his granddaughter Beth Anne, who passed away in 2014.

David was a race car driver from 1953 to 1976, driving for Ross and Ronnie Leinbach, Kenny Brightbill, Ralph Blankenbiller, Jerry Katz and others at various area race tracks. He was a member of the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, Latimore Valley Fairgrounds, Dillsburg, PA.
