Denise L. Weinsteiger

Denise L. (Kauffman) Weinsteiger, 63, of Exeter Twp., passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Gerald D. Weinsteiger who she married on March 26, 1994.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kent K. and Nancy A. (Wolfe) Kauffman.

Denise was a 1976 graduate of Reading High School; a 1978 graduate of R.A.C.C. and a 1992 graduate of Alvernia College.  She also attended Kutztown University.  She was most passionate about her love for teaching.  Denise taught kindergarten and third grade at Oley Valley Elementary until she was dismissed in March 2010.  She enjoyed collecting elephants, bears, going to the ocean and traveling.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Adam S. Weinsteiger of Exeter Twp. 

She was predeceased by a son, Scott P. Miller, in 1998.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

In lieu of flowers, Denise suggested she would appreciate an act of kindness for a disabled individual.
