Elsie I. (Unger) Rick, 86, of Shillington, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the Mifflin Center.
She was the widow of Robert H. Rick who died on July 21, 2016.
Born in Bernville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Estella (Schlegel) Unger.
Elsie was a 1954 graduate of Sinking Spring High School. She worked for the former Penndale Knitting Mills in Sinking Spring for 18 years, then later worked at Boscov’s West; Ray’s I.G.A. and finally retired in 2017 from Giant Grocery Store in Spring Twp.
Surviving are sons, Dean R. Rick (Stephanie) of Wernersville; Dennis R. Rick (Vickie) of Robesonia; grandsons, Robert Rick (Trish) of Wyomissing and Andrew Rick (Rachel) of Sinking Spring. Also survived is a step grandson, Jeffrey Columbo (Sandy) of Wyomissing; Ian Zerbe (Stephanie) of Sinking Spring, Elliott Zerbe (Marci) of Sinking Spring, four great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; siblings Marvin, widower of Eleanor Unger of Shillington and Merlin, husband of Sandra Unger of West Wyomissing. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Anna Mae Unger, a brother, Norman Unger, and a sister-in-law, Janet Unger.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Monday, October 3, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
