Georgia C. Lombardo

Georgia C. Lombardo, 80, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, in the city where she was born on November 3, 1945.

She was the beloved wife of Guy D. Lombardo and a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose warmth, kindness, and lively spirit touched everyone who knew her.  Born and raised in Reading, Georgia attended local schools and completed her high school education before beginning a life marked by hard work, devotion, and deep love for her family.

She was a woman of strength and determination, and those qualities guided her throughout her life. Georgia spent many years as a supervisor for a manufacturing company, where she was respected for her leadership, reliability, and steady presence. She approached her work with the same dedication she brought to every part of her life, and she earned the admiration of coworkers and friends alike. 

Above all else, Georgia was devoted to her family. She and Guy shared 64 years of marriage, a partnership built on love, loyalty, and a lifetime of memories. Together they created a home filled with care, laughter, and enduring support. Georgia lived for her children and grandchildren, and her greatest joy came from being with them, celebrating their accomplishments, and sharing in the everyday moments that made life meaningful. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave them her heart fully and without hesitation.

She is survived by her husband, Guy D. Lombardo; her children, Kathy A. Balthaser and her companion, Larry McFadden; Guy D. Lombardo, Jr.; and Jody L., wife of Jeffrey Arroyo. She was a proud grandmother to Meghan, Austin and his wife Taylor, Alex, and Dominic, and she was blessed to know her great-grandchild, Bracken. She is also survived by her siblings, Charles and Kevin Palm.  She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Grace Palm and a granddaughter Devon, and a brother James Palm.  Georgia’s family was a source of immense pride and happiness for her, and her love for them will remain a guiding light in their lives.

Georgia will be remembered as adventurous and friendly, two words that perfectly reflected the way she lived. She enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life sweet, including bingo, oldies music, dancing with her girlfriends, pizza, milkshakes, and spending time camping at the beach. These interests brought her joy and helped create treasured memories with the people she loved. Whether she was enjoying a lively outing, sharing a meal, or relaxing by the shore, Georgia had a way of making ordinary moments feel special.

Her personality was one of warmth and easy companionship. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, and her friendly nature drew people to her. Georgia’s adventurous spirit gave her life a spark that remained with her through the years, and she embraced each season of life with grace and resilience. She was the kind of woman who could brighten a room with her presence and leave a lasting impression with her smile, her laughter, and her genuine care for others.

Though her passing leaves a deep void, Georgia’s life stands as a beautiful example of love, devotion, and steadfast family values.  She will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her devotion to Guy and her family, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy will continue through the generations she helped shape with her  kindness and care.  Georgia C. Lombardo will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.
