Helene P. (Roedel) Guigley

Helene P. (Roedel) Guigley, 92, of Brecknock Twp., passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the Lancaster Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster.

She was the wife of John A. Guigley.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Pauline (Sattler) Roedel.

Helene was a graduate of the Reading High School and the Reading Hospital School of Nursing.  She was a longtime employee of the Leader Home, now Manor Care in West Reading as an L.P.N.  She attended Allegheny Lutheran Church and enjoyed playing her piano, organ and Accordion.  Helene loved her knitting, crocheting and solving crossword puzzles.  Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three children:  David F., husband of Shannon A. Guigley of Lancaster; John A., husband of Deborah L. Guigley of Brecknock Twp. and Christina D., wife of Walter L. Gehman of Brecknock Twp.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren:  Michael D., husband of Jennifer Guigley; Amanda D. Plasterer; Christopher J., husband of Jinger Guigley; Jennifer L., wife of Brian Schmidt; Heather A., wife of John Stauffer; Ashley T. Russo and Thomas L. Gehman.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Zach Labach, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Allegheny Union Cemetery.
