Jack R. Giles, 87, of Exeter Twp., passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Reading Hospital.
He was the widower of Elaine L. (Lecatsas) Giles who died on March 6, 2006 after 49 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lynnford, Sr. and Mildred (Krick) Giles.
After high school, Jack joined the U.S. Marine Corp serving for four years. Afterwards, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving over 16 years, including action in the Vietnam War, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served our country in uniform from 1953 to 1974.
Surviving are two daughters: Kathy J. Ellis, companion of John Gittler of Brecknock Twp., and Renee C., wife of Jim D’Agostino of San Antonio, TX.
Also surviving are three grandchildren: Alex Dragan of Brooklyn N.Y., Don Ellis, III of Wyomissing and Lauren D’Agostino of San Antonio, TX.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Kim L. Dragan and five siblings.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton with a funeral service starting at 11:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
