Janet R. Youndt

Janet R. Youndt affectionately known as Sis, a beacon of love and kindness passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025 at the age of 90 in Leesport, Pa. Born on August 11,1934 in Reading, Pa. to the late Walter J. and H. Marie Labe.

Janet's journey began as a proud graduate of Muhlenberg High School Class of 1952.

Janet was an employee of Boscov's North where she worked in the Shoe Department for an impressive 40 years where she made many life long friends.

Janet's younger years she loved spending time at the Bungalow on the river. She loved swimming, water skiing, boating and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed camping and playing cards.

She was an avid reader. She always loved to read and spent her later years reading from breakfast to supper everyday.

Janet loved watching Golf, The Phillies, Eagles and Penn State.

Her family was the center of her universe and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her son Randy Youndt husband of Lori (Ramich), her adored grandson Joey Youndt and his partner Michelle Hill, her treasured granddaughter Amanda Youndt, wife of Charles Hobbs. Janet's life was further enriched by the joy of her three great-grandsons, Jordan Youndt husband of Cassidy (Krall), Janson Youndt partner of Jasmin Modricker and Owen Hobbs and her great-granddaughter Isabelle Hobbs.

Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her source of pride and joy.

She also enjoyed the love of her cats Buddy, Boo and Baby.

Janet was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Youndt Jr., daughter Karen Youndt, grandson Brian Youndt, and her sister Betty (Labe) Davis, Janet's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family.
