Joan S. (Fritz) Ruffner, 87, of Brecknock Township, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Eugene (Gene) H. Ruffner who died on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Spatz) Fritz.
Joan was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed spending weekends boating on the Elk River with her family. She and her husband enjoyed camping and have been to all 48 contiguous states during their many camping excursions.
She is survived by her two daughters; Debra L. wife of Gary Craley, Brecknock Township, and Corinne K. wife of David Bush, Elizabethtown, PA. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nadine J. Nolt.
Also surviving are six grandchildren; Kelly LeHew, Jeana Nolt, Melissa Reilly, Michelle Martin, Meredith Pfundheller, and Andrew Bush. There are also six great-grandchildren; Aiden, Elias, Addison, Finnegan, Harper, Raelyn, and Taylor.
She is also survived by her sister in law, Judith Fritz and Fern Hartman.
She was predeceased by a brother, William Fritz.
Relatives & Friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Debora K. Gifford, officiating.
A viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Wyomissing Cemetery in Gouglersville.
