Joanne May (Lambert) Wanner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, peacefully passed away on January 22, 2024 at her home in Mohnton under the care of her children. She was born on June 14, 1940, in Sinking Spring to her parents George and Bessie (Pieffer) Lambert.
Joanne will be forever cherished and deeply missed by her daughter, Tracy White, wife of John, her sons, Todd Wanner and Troy Wanner, her siblings David Lambert, husband of Terri and Dawn Haughney and her grandchildren Kyle, Courtney, Mallory and Lindsay and her great grandchildren Owen, Axel and Braxton.
Joanne was predeceased by her long-time companion George Geist, Jr., both avid Penn State fans, who traveled in their motor home to several bowl games. She later traveled to Europe and Australia with the Wilson High School Class of 1958. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s activities.
Family and friends are invited to St. John’s Reformed Church, Sinking Spring on February 3, 2024 for a visitation time at 10:30a.m. followed by services at 11 a.m.
