Joseph R. Salvatore

Joseph R. Salvatore, 66, of Cumru Township, passed away in St. Francis Home on November 8, 2025.

Joe was married to his beloved wife Sandra (Kreitz) Salvatore for 46 years. Born in Reading on March 2, 1959, Joe was the son of the late Geraldine (Hottenstein) Salvatore & Ralph Salvatore.

A proud graduate of Reading High School, class of 1977. He was employed by Carpenter Technology Corp. for 29 years retiring in 2016.

Joe was a devoted fan of the Commanders, Eagles, Penn State, Phillies, and racing. He loved karate in his younger years. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family, friends and his dog Harley. Over the years he was a member of several clubs & fire companies.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Salvatore, Jr. of West Reading; his daughter, Michelle Salvatore of Wilmington, DE; his sister, Dawn (Salvatore) Boone wife of David of Kenhorst and his sister-in-law, Deborah (Seisler) Beissel, widow of Richard Beissel, Jr. of Centre Township. Along with a host of other family & friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Francis Home for their compassionate and loving care of Joe in his final days.
