Joseph Tumminello, Sr.

Joseph Tumminello, Sr., 93, of Shillington, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023 at Reading Hospital.

He was the widower of Lillian B. (Kautz) Tumminello, who passed away in 1996.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Anna (Consantino) Tumminello.

Joseph was employed as a stone mason for 63 years.  He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. 

Surviving are children, Kathleen A., wife of James Dietrich of Shillington, Joseph, Jr., husband of Marcia of Mohnton and Linda M., wife of Michael Chimahosky of Sinking Spring. 

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Tammy, wife of Dave Szilli of Shillington; Cheryl Sparr of Shillington and Chad Chimahosky of Phoenixville; two great grandchildren, Kyle and Ashton; and four siblings, Anthony of Florida, Sam of Mansfield, Dominic of Mohnton and James of West Lawn.

He was predeceased by a brother, Nathan Tumminello.

Relatives and Friends are invited to join a Celebration of Joseph’s life on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 700 Greenwood Avenue, Mohnton, PA 19540.

Service and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
