Joyce K. (Swavely) Ruffner

Joyce K. (Swavely) Ruffner, 89, formerly of Cumru Twp., passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She was the widow of Curtis K. Ruffner, Jr.

Born in Cumru Twp., she was the daughter of the late William F. and Helen S. (Krall) Swavely.

Joyce retired as a Data Processor after 41 years from CHB Sports, Inc. in Cumru Twp.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Shillington.

Surviving are children, Kathy R., wife of Michael R. Van Reed of Montrose Manor, Diane M., widow of James P. Hetrich of Leesport, Curtis K., III, husband of Sandra J. Ruffner of Sinking Spring and Robin S. Ruffner of Mohnton.

Also surviving are grandchildren:  Jami, Misty, Robyne, Tiffany, Travis, Daniel and Sarah and great grandchildren: Harlee, Ashlee, Kaden, Jacob, Charlotte, Kinsley and Brooks.  Also surviving are nephews:  Jerry and Jeff Morey.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Karin L. Przyjemski in 2000, and a sister H. Mae Morey in 2023.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Grave Evangelical Lutheran Church, 30 Liberty Street, Shillington, PA 19607.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. 

Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
