Judith Ann Bowman, 79 of Hamburg, PA., formerly of Sinking Spring, PA. passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her husband, and her beloved miniature schnauzers.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late William and Betty (Lerch) Rohrbacher, Sinking Spring. PA.
She was the loving wife of Richard C. Bowman, and they would have celebrated their 60-year wedding anniversary on May 14th, 2026.
She was a 1964 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and retired from the Medical Records Department of the Reading Hospital. Prior to that, she was the Office Manager for Wyomissing Valley Medical Associates, Mohnton, PA.
Although most people would call her bougie, she was a country girl at heart, growing up on a goat farm where as a child she loved playing with all the baby goats. She was a kind, caring woman with a big heart, many friends, and would often help those less fortunate than her.
In her spare time, prior to her illness she enjoyed baking, knitting, cross-stitch, watching the Philles, and “her man” Chase Utley”, camping, candle shopping, gardening – especially flowers, reading, and her many miniature schnauzers. For many years her and Richard were in the mixed doubles league at Berks Lane Bowling Center.
She was a member of the Rain & Shine Camping Club, Shoemakersville, PA.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Steven M., Hamburg & Catawissa, PA, and a brother, Michael W., Fleetwood, PA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacey Lynn.
Relatives and friends can greet the family to offer condolences on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. with a Service starting at 6:30 P.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, Mohnton, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can made to the Humane Society of Lebanon County, 150 North Ramona Road, Myerstown, PA 17067.
