Kenneth F. Reed

Kenneth F. Reed, 95, of Mohnton, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Mifflin Center.

He was the husband of Evelyn M. (Breitenstein) Reed.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Fred and Frances (Green) Reed.

Ken retired from Limerick Generating Station and was a member of Local 420 Iron Workers.  He was a member of the P.O.S.A. in Mohnton, Zion E.C. Church.   He served in the Army reserves for 42 years.

Surviving are his wife, and children, Karen Hahn of Mohnton; Keith, husband of Susan Reed of Mohnton and Donna, wife of Sam Rakowiecki of West Lawn.  Also surviving are grandchildren, Jeremy, Erica, Brian, Christine and Jennifer and five great grandchildren.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Robert Shuey, officiating.

A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Zion E.C. Church, 57 N. Church Street, Mohnton, PA 19540.
