Lawrence M. Glass, Sr.

Lawrence M. Glass, Sr. 78, of Mohnton, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Judith A. (Garber) Glass with whom he shared 57 loving years of marriage.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Elmer and Gladys (Piersol) Glass.

Larry was a 1961 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He worked for Conrail, then A.T. & T., and later as a Security Guard at the Berks County Courthouse.   He enjoyed railroads, antiquing, watching racing, especially NASCAR, going to the beach at Rehoboth and Ocean City, MD and the mountains at Eagles Mere in Sullivan County.  Larry was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed collecting coins and playing the lottery, but most of all, loved his children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children:  Larry, Jr., husband of Peggy Glass of Brecknock Twp.; Michael, husband of Kathleen Glass of Brecknock Twp.; Tyler, husband of Diane of Hershey and Dianne Glass of Mohnton; Grandchildren, Megan, wife of Brandon Pray, Courtney, wife of Eric Vonada, Nicholas Glass, and Peter Glass, all of Mohnton; Eric and Emily Bryant of Hershey; and great grandchildren, Connor, Colton and Calvin.  He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Reitz of Mohnton.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown.
