Louise Sanders

Martha “Louise” Sanders, 86, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of Gerald L. “Jerry” Sanders.

Born in Mohnton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Martha (Ruffner) Schlouch.

Louise graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1956.  After graduation she attended Bryland Institute of Beauty Culture in Reading where she obtained her license to practice.  She started her career at Pomeroy’s in Reading and after four years left to start her own Salon in Mohnton, retiring after 44 years of service.  Louise was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mohnton.

Surviving in addition to her husband Jerry, is her son, Gary L. Sanders of Wernersville.

A private graveside service will be held at Indiantown Gap Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
