Margaret E. (Helbig) Bruder

Margaret E. (Helbig) Bruder, 87, of Shillington, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at the Berks Heim Home.

She was the wife of Leonard F. Bruder, Jr. who passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Eric O. and Elizabeth M. (Mengel) Helbig.

She was a graduate of the former Shillington High School.  She was employed as a secretary for the Sheridan Slag Co. in Reading.  Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.  She was a homemaker who spent her time raising her family while enjoying crafts and quilting.  She was a former member of One U.C.C. in Kenhorst. 

Surviving are Children, Bradley L. Bruder of Shillington; Jeffrey A., husband of Nancy A. Bruder of Mohnton; and Tracey L., wife of Michael Krick of Spring Twp.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Joshua A. Bruder of Mohnton, and Bailey M. Krick of Spring Twp.

Also surviving are siblings:  Erich Helbig of New York, Karl Helbig of Spring Twp., Gerald Helbig of New York, Carolyn Hatt of Angelica and Barbara Brown of Shillington.

She was predeceased by a son, Craig O. Bruder, and siblings Robert Helbig, Catherine Helbig and Alma Hobson.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.

A viewing will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Christ Union Cemetery, Grill.
