Margaret A. (Yerger) Messner, 101, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 1:20 P.M. at the Berks Heim Home where she was a guest.
Born in Berks County, PA on May 25, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Lott M. and Alice G. (Keller) Yerger.
Margaret retired in 1989 with 12 years of service from the former Racklin Furniture Company in Sinking Spring working as a Sewing Machine Operator. She was previously employed at the former Berkshire Knitting Mills for 21 years. She was a member of Gouglersville Fire Company.
Surviving are children: Levi J. Godfrey of Birdsboro; Betty A. Jacobs of West Lawn; Norma Jean Greiss of Alburtis and Dorothy A. Leininger of Mohnton.
She is survived by her brother, Carl Yerger of Sinking Spring; 13 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughters, Mary Lou Godfrey, Alice Stern and Shirley Wright; and siblings, William Yerger, Lott Yerger, Harvey Yerger, Dorothy Glase and Betty Eckenroth.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.
A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow service at Friedens Cemetery, Oley.
