Michelle Fastow Obituary

Michelle T. Fastow, a wife, teacher, devoted mother, and passionate pet lover, passed
away peacefully on October 17, 2025, at the age of 70, in West Reading, Pennsylvania.
Born on November 2, 1954, in Newark, New Jersey, Michelle's warmth and compassion
touched the lives of everyone she met. Her enduring spirit and courage in her battle
against Parkinson's and Lewy Body Dementia were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Michelle was a wife to her husband Joel Fastow for nearly 50 years and was mother to
2 children: Staci Fastow Cox and Steven Jeffery Fastow, as well as a granddaughter,
Hannah Claire. As a mother, she was the heart of the household, always there with an
encouraging word, a listening ear, and a hug that could melt away any worry. Her
children remember her as their greatest advocate and the source of their strength. She
instilled in them the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance.

Michelle's early life in Newark guided her throughout her life and instilled in her a sense
of community and commitment to education. She pursued a career in teaching,
dedicating her life to enlightening young minds and nurturing their growth. Her patience,
wisdom, and gentle demeanor left an indelible mark on her students, many of whom
kept in touch with her long after leaving her classroom.

Michelle's love extended beyond her immediate family to her four-legged companions.
She was rarely seen without a dog by her side, which was a source of joy and
tranquility; a testament to her love for all creatures and her appreciation for the simple
pleasures in life. In her spare time, Michelle's greatest joy was spending time with her
kids, whether it was a quiet evening at home or an adventurous day out. She believed in
the power of presence and made sure to cherish every moment with them. Her legacy
was one of unconditional love, selfless giving, and the profound impact she had on her
family's lives. As we bid farewell to Michelle T Fastow, we celebrate a life beautifully
lived and profoundly impactful. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts
of those she leaves behind. While we mourn her passing, we also take solace in
knowing that her spirit will forever guide us, just as the values she embodied will
continue to resonate within the many lives she touched. Michelle's journey on this earth
may have concluded, but her story—replete with love, education, faith, and
kindness—will be recounted for generations to come.
