Robert L. Goldsborough, Sr., 80, of Shillington, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 1, 2023.
He was the husband of Virginia E. “Ginny” (Reinert) Goldsborough who died in 2019, and Betty Lou (Styer) Goldsborough who died in 1974.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Lloyd B. and Evelyn (Barrell) Goldsborough.
He was a graduate of Gov. Mifflin High School. He was an independent Truck Driver. Robert was a skilled drywaller, plumber, electrician, HVAC installer and Diesel Mechanic. He loved his family, spending time at the beach, feeding the squirrels but most of all loved his dog Toby.
Surviving are children, Bernice A. Jacques of Shillington, widow of Mario; Joseph G., husband of Melissa Jaroszenski of Mohnton; Roxann L. Cox of Shillington, widow of Shane; Rodney L., husband of Tracy J. Goldsborough of Mohnton and Randy L. Goldsborough of Sinking Spring.
He was also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two siblings, Donna Parson and Bruce Goldsborough.
He was predeceased by sons, Terrence Reinert and Robert L. Goldsborough, Jr.; granddaughter, Cynthia M. Jacques and great granddaughter, Melissa C. Jacques.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, May 5, 2023 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.
A viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow service at Allegheny Union Cemetery, Brecknock Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
