Robert Shoemaker, Jr. Obituary

Robert Clark Shoemaker Jr. “Bob” of West Chester PA, aged 66 years, passed away at home with the ones he loved after a long but courageous battle against brain cancer.

He was the son of the late Robert C. Sr. and Dorothea Shoemaker of Berwyn, PA.

Bob was a United States Navy veteran who served over fifteen years and spent most of his career overseas, primarily in Italy. He enjoyed the local culture and the beauty of scuba diving in the Mediterranean. After his discharge from the Navy, Bob owned his own business until he retired and was often heard telling stories of his world travels and navigating under the stars.

Bob was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and would cheer on the E.A.G.L.E.S every week, without fail. He had a fondness in his heart for helping people and a love of animals, especially his favorite Golden, Nate. Bob loved spending time at the beach; it was his happy place.

He is survived by his children, sons Robert C III (Courtney) Ryan, Danny and daughters Morgan and Evelyn, his brother William (Jody) Shoemaker of Grapevine, TX. and sister Karen Ferraro (Martin) of Wayne, PA. as well as four grandchildren.

Bob also leaves behind Beverly and Kelly, two women whom he had the pleasure of loving during his lifetime and who loved him very much in return.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Monica Church, 63 Main Avenue, Berwyn, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment Private.
