Ronald L. Bailey, 64, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at home surrounded by family.
He was born in Fleetwood, PA on May 22, 1956. He was the son of Gladys M. Bailey of Fleetwood, and the late Harry Bailey.
Ronald was a 1974 graduate of Fleetwood High School and after graduating began a lifelong professional truck driving career in the Berks County area. He most recently worked for NESL Corporation as of December 4th and previously for Berks Products Corporation for a total of approximately 40 years. He also volunteered and helped at the Schuylkill Valley Community Library. Ronald was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Ronald enjoyed his family dearly and spent time over the years sharing with them through camping, boating, and sports. Ronald recently enjoyed traveling around the world. Other favorite things he enjoyed included walking their dog Emma, riding bike and relaxing at Virginia Beach. He also got a lot of enjoyment watching his grandchildren, Melina and Greyson, play and was determined to see his third grand child, Connor, born. Ronald was a happy, laid back guy who knew people where ever he went and he was often referred to by friends and family through his long standing nickname "Beetle".
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen P. (Styer) Bailey of Leesport PA; children, Nathan C., husband of Heather Bailey of Downingtown, PA; Drew A., husband of Catherine Bailey of Atlantic Highlands, NJ; brother Glenn Bailey of Blandon, PA; sister Janice Hoffa of Fleetwood PA; and his grandchildren, Melina, Greyson, and Connor; and beloved dog Emma.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Graveside Service on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery, 650 Fritztown Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Please practice CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19 social distancing.
