Sandra L. Sallada

Sandra L. Sallada, 73, of Mohnton, passed away on January 9, 2022 at the Reading Hospital.  

She was the wife of Frederick Sallada.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Shirley (Matz) Mogel.

Sandra was a longtime employee of G.K. Elite in Reading where she was employed as a seamstress and at the Taverna Restaurant in Reading as a chef.  Sandra loved her family and attending all of the family events.  She loved to “shop until you drop” with her daughter and cherished getting to dress up and go dancing on a Saturday night.

Surviving are two daughters; Gena L. Mogel, fiancée of Robert L. Dawson of Myerstown and Cheryl L. Lopez of Mohnton; ten grandchildren; David Lopez, Derek Starke, Joseph "Danny" (Amanda) Pereiva, Dylan Starke, Dante Starke, Mariah Brown, Cassie Graboski, Tyler Graboski and Steven Sallada; siblings: Barbara (Roger) Fisher, Jackie (Robert) Kerns, Miriam (Evan) Lambros, David (Connie) Mogel, Charles (Sandy) Mogel, Scott (Lisa) Mogel, Frederick (Erica) Sallada, Gina Sallada, Emma Lutz, Leah Mertz, Trudy Pagan; and John Hoover.   Also surviving are eight great grandchildren and 18 nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Ernesto "Tito" Lopez, Jr., grandson, Ryan Lopez-Graeff, siblings, Carol Jean Mogel, George Hoover and Sonny Hoover.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.   The family asks you wear something blue.

Friends may call to greet the family from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
