Sandra M. (Schneider) Werley

Sandra M. (Schneider) Werley, 76, of Cumru Twp., passed away on May 18, 2022 at her residence.

She was the wife of Willard K. “Butch” Werley who died on March 12, 2014.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Neider) Schneider.

Sandy graduated from the Reading High School in 1963.  She was a longtime employee and loved working at the Abraham Lincoln in Reading.   Sandy loved playing cards.  She enjoyed catering and baking, especially wedding cakes.  Weather it was hosting family holidays, cooking special dinners, or a picnic or party in the backyard, Sandy was ready and willing.   She was always available to help whoever needed or asked for it.   Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children:  Justine M., wife of Chris L. Burkhart and their children, Jason and Jesse.

Karen M., wife of John Seltzer and their children, Heather and her daughter, Bree Wenrich; and John, husband of Trisha Seltzer, Jr. and their children, Julianna and Kayson Seltzer.

She is also survived by her siblings, Ruth, husband of Kenneth Miller; Betty Wenrich; Linda Smith; Cora Eager; Barbara Noll and Penny Schneider; and by her brother in law, Woody Youse.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Joshua Burkhart and her sister, Mary Youse.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. from Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Dennis Dierolf, officiating.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Mohnsville Cemetery.
